Standby Studio for Retuning Students

Many artists have limited space to set up for encaustic painting at home so now you can come paint with me through my Standby Studio option.

With Standby Studio you can join any class you have already taken (excluding Wax Week), for half price! You can either participate in the class with everyone else or use it as an open studio day to work on your own. You can get on the wait list for these standby seats anytime, just like on an airline, but your spot will only be confirmed 2 days before the class.

You can bring your paints or use mine, and all of my basic tools will be available to you. You'll just need to bring your own boards to work on, or paintings in progress. I will be busy conducting the regular class, so this will be time to work on your own. The price works out to less than $15/hr, so I think everyone wins here.

If you are interested in this program, first view my workshop schedule to find a class you've taken before that's on my schedule, then contact me to register.

Classes must be paid for in full by cash, check or credit card prior to the class to confirm your spot. When your payment is received you will be emailed a confirmation notice, additional information about the classes and a map to my studio in NE Portland.

Cancellation and Liability Policies

  • Cancellation 7 days before the class date = full refund or may change to another class.
  • Cancellation less than 7 days before the class date = full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee only if the space is filled by another paying student.
  • No show = no refund.
If the workshop is canceled by the instructor, you will receive a full refund. If another instructor must be substituted for Linda Robertson Womack due to illness or emergency you will have the option to attend the class with the substitute instructor or cancel/reschedule without penalty.

Should any injuries occur during or as a result of participation in any class or workshop, the registered student agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Linda Robertson Womack and all employees, instructors and volunteers connected with Linda Robertson Womack Fine Art.
